Ionel Augustin, 70 years old, the former great striker of Dinamo from the 70s-80s, four-time champion with the red-whites, does not make a drama out of the defeat suffered by the “dogs” in front of Rapid, score 0-2. Exclusively for Gazeta Sporturilor, “Oneață” drew the main conclusions of Sunday night's derby.
A weighty name in Dinamo's history, Ionel Augustin x-rayed the pluses and minuses observed in Kopic's team in the lost match with Rapid. Satisfied with the level displayed by the 'Dogs' despite the defeat which demoralized the supporters, “Pantra Roz” admits that there is a regression in Eddy Gnahore's game, but also that the leader Cîrjan did not rise to the level of such a derby.
However, Augustin puts things into perspective and anticipates that Dinamo have a sufficiently balanced squad to leave their mark on the battle at the top of the table.
Ionel “Oneață” Augustin, conclusions after Dinamo – Rapid 0-2: “One of Gnahore's most modest games! Cîrjan? Deleted!”
“I liked the game last night. Two good teams in everything, from my point of view, well organized, well set up. I saw desire, it was a real derby, like in our times, with spectacle, goal phases.
Unfortunately, Dinamo did not manage to score from the phases it had. They played a good game, took the ball in front of the box, but the finishing left much to be desired. This is my first conclusion.
indeed it was one of Gnahore's most modest games, he plays a lot of balls back, to the side, he doesn't take many risks. He recovers balls but doesn't verticalize the play and doesn't judge actions like a midfielder who can also finish. And Milanov too!
I really like Cîrjan, but this time it had a rather erased evolution. He tried some individual moves but lost the balls and got out of hand. That's how Rapid's second goal was born, plus Sivis also made a mistake there…
But I liked the game from all points of view. Dinamo is my soul team, plus I also played for Rapid. It was a real derby, with a good atmosphere, apart from those slogans, which I didn't like”, pointed out Augustin, in dialogue with Gazeta Sporturilor.

“I was a bit scared, but Dinamo moved well! They will have a say in the championship”
Delighted with the current version of Dinamo, Augustin states without hesitation that the red-whites can claim the title this season:
“I really liked how Dinamo moved during the transfer period. I was a bit scared because some good players like Olsen had left. But from that point of view, they have moved well and brought in equally good playerswho have the spirit we had in our good times.
Of course, Dinamo can fight for the title. I also said, three stages ago, that Dinamo will have a say in the championship. They, Rapidul and Craiova, these three teams!
It can be seen that Rapid is a very strong team, from my point of view, with a very good playing force, with many valuable players”, said Augustin, in the interview given to Gazeta.
