The president “does not agree” to a increase in taxes. He has a different idea

There will be no consent to increase taxes by the government – President Karol Nawrocki announced on Wednesday during the office of the office. The president also expressed concern about the data on the budget deficit and lower than planned influences with VAT, CIT and excise duty.
– I am concerned about what I see in the budget data this year. When we know that we have PLN 150 billion in a deficit, it is a clear alarm signal that something is wrong – said Nawrocki.
In the president's opinion, the most alarming are tax revenues than planned in the budget. Karol Nawrocki noticed that “multi-billion holes in income” amount to a total of PLN 45 billion-including PLN 35 billion with VAT, PLN 4-5 billion from CIT and PLN 5.5 billion from excise duty.
The president also announced that he would not agree to increase taxes. He also noted that budget revenues should be increased by improving the tax system.
– I hear about the proposals of six tax increases prepared by the government. I consistently recognize that increasing taxes is a thing that I do not intend to accept as the president of Poland. I recognize that more effort requires the government to seal the tax system, to take care of public finances – emphasized Nawrocki.
He added that he and officials of the office “are ready in solving this situation without raising more tributes.”
