The deputy Radu Mihaiu (USR), the chairman of the IT Commission, gave a harsh reply to a letter that the employees' unions of the Financial Supervisory Authority, the National Authority for Administration and Regulation in Communications and the National Energy Regulatory Authority sent it to the Commission, a letter in which the dissatisfaction with these installments.

“At the IT commission I received a very tragic letter from the ASF, ANCOM and ANRE unions announcing the preparation that passes them with the package 2 of measures. It is revolting that, at a time when all Romanians-from the private environment, from the local administrations-from politics-go through the real sacrifices, the unions of the institution. Mihaiu.

In order to justify his reply, the USR deputy mentions what the level of pay in the three institutions is.

Average monthly net salaries:

  • ASF – 13,562 lei
  • ANCOM – 12,934 lei
  • ANRE – 18,635 lei

Top monthly allowances:

  • ANRE President – 75,073 lei
  • ASF president – 61,089 lei
  • ANCOM president – 64,670 lei
  • Vice -Presidents – over 50,000 lei

“These figures are not just obscene. I am an affront to each Romanian who works honestly for 4,000-5,000 lei per month and who wonders how he pays the gas rate or invoice. To complain that you are cut out 30% of a nabab salary is quite naughty. Especially when we know all the situation”.

He argues that, as a result of the discounts in package 2, the salaries in the three institutions will remain consistent so that the protests are not justified.

“The unions of the highest paid employees in the Romanian state no longer fight for equity. It fights to preserve a regime of privileges. And this must be said on the slab: it is a pork to cling to luxury benefits while the country strives to maintain its budget balance,” concluded Radu Mihaiu.
