Laurențiu Popescu (28 years old), the goalkeeper of the University of Craiova, would have missed the transfer to the tractor, a team from the first league of Iran. All the acts were signed, but a mere formality unfulfilled in time caused the transfer to fall.
After Pavlo Isenko's arrival this summer at the Bănie group, Laurențiu Popescu lost the position of holder and wanted to change the team. He had understood himself with a tractor, but the transfer would have been stuck due to a bureaucratic issue.

Specifically, the transfer of Laurențiu Popescu would have been registered in TMS (transfer matching system), the online system regarding the transfers of FIFA, about 12 minutes after the transfer period, according to fanatik.ro.
The clubs are obliged to record all the transfers in this online system, both the sell and the one who buys the player. This formality is made for the player to obtain the international transfer authorization. “An online system that makes international players transfers between faster, more transparent clubs. Only registered users of clubs and associations have access to the online system to process their transfers,” notes FIFA.
The transfer would have been almost resolved, and all the documents were signed, but this operation caused the transfer to fall. According to the quoted source, Laurențiu Popescu is on his way to Romania and will return to Craiova University.
Laurențiu Popescu played for the junior bands of the University of Craiova. The goalkeeper was borrowed several times in Pandurii, Poli Timișoara and FC Brașov. From 2022 he remained at Craiova University, and in the Trectu season he had managed to impose himself between the Oltenians. With the arrival of the Ukrainian isnko, Laurențiu Popescu was passed on the dead line by Mirel Rădoi.
The Romanian goalkeeper has 115 matches for the Oltenians, during which time he scored 126 goals. Laurețiu Popescu managed to keep the gate intact in 31 of the matches played for Olteni. The specialized sites quoted it at 1.7 million euros in the last update.
