One third of Romanians claim that they do not go on vacation at all this summer, a poll made by a bank shows

One third of the Romanians claim that they do not go on vacation this summer, another 17% go abroad, and half spend their holidays in the country, it results from a poll conducted by CEC Bank in partnership with the banking comparator Finzoom.ro.

Of those who spend their summer vacation in Romania, at sea will go more than half, one part goes to the mountain, and 7% choose to go to relatives from the country, the poll shows.

How many days Romanians go on vacation this summer

Regarding the reservations for the holiday – 57.5% of Romanians mentioned that they are personally dealing with this aspect, 24% do not get used to reservations, while about 13.5% of them resort to the services of a travel agency. Only a little over 5% resort to the recommendations of friends and acquaintances.

At the question – how many days do you allow yourself to go on vacation this summer? -Over 45% of those who responded to the survey mentioned that 3-4 days on vacation this year will work, 28.6% say they have chosen 7 days of holiday, about 11% have allocated 10 days and 15% will spend 14 days or more on vacation.

Rest is the main reason for 64% of Romanians who go on vacation, while over 35.5% of the respondents say they will combine the useful with the pleasant. Very few, under 1% of Romanians, said they were going on vacation strictly for shopping.

Where do I get money from vacation

At the question – where you get money for the holiday – over 77% of the respondents replied that they raise the money early, saving throughout the year. Much fewer (9%) borrows from friends, almost 7% say they use holiday vouchers to pay for leave and about 5% call for credit card/Overdraft. Very few, that is 2%, I say that I receive leave premiums from the employer.

Regarding how payments will make on leave, over 38% of respondents say they will pay cash and about 22% a cash and card combination, whether they are debit or credit cards. Just over 17% will only pay with debit and cash card, almost 6% with credit card and just over 5% with only with credit card and cash.

Regarding the size of the holiday budget, 42% of the respondents talk about a lowering of the budget, by 10% to 30%, compared to the one allocated last year while for one in four Romanians, it is similar to last year. Only about 10% of Romanians will allocate more with 10% – 30% compared to last year.

Poll information: The survey was conducted online, by the Finzoom financial comparator, at the request of CEC Bank, on a representative sample of about 1,200 respondents from all over the country, representative for Internet users. 58% of the respondents are employees, over 70% live in the city, 40% have higher or postgraduate studies.
