The Romanian Football Federation wants to clarify the situation generated in Social Media and in the media after drawing the matches in the play-off of the Romanian Betano Cup, held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the Football House.

The draw was coordinated by the Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Gabriel Bodescu, and Mr. Mihai Andrieș, representative of the Competition Department. The urns used were divided according to the competition regulation: the urn containing the 8 teams in Superliga, and urn B – the other 24 qualified teams from the previous tours.

FRF admits that the urine size used for extraction was smaller than it would have been ideal to ensure easier ball mixing.
