The leaders of some of the closest allies of the United States were met on Monday at the White House, neither by the president, nor by the Vice -President nor by the Secretary of State. In contrast, Monica Crowley, the head of the White House protocol, was the one who has officially welcomed her, shaking her hand and, in some cases, giving them a kiss on the cheek, reports Reuters.
Crowley was part of the first Trump administration and held the assistant assistant of the secretary of the treasury for public affairs during 2019 – 2021.
Previously, he has been presenter and analyst on political and foreign policy at Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, since 1998.

In 2017, Crowley had been designated principal director for strategic communication within the National Security Council. However, she refused the post after the investigations conducted by CNN and Politico revealed that she plagiarized her doctoral thesis at Colombia University in 2000.
She was also the one who drove Vladimir Putin at the airport, when she left Alaska on Friday.
