A joint conference of the head of the EC and Wołodymyr Zelanski. A clear message for Trump and Putin


The chairwoman of the EC stated that Europe will support Ukraine “as long as it is necessary for a fair and lasting peace.”
Ursula's statement von der Leyen about the limits seems to be a reference to the demands made by Vladimir Putin. As we read in Reuters, As part of the agreement proposed by Russia, Ukraine would withdraw from key regions – Donetsk and Lugansk – which play a strategic role in defending the country.
At the same time, the head of the EC emphasized that she was satisfied with the readiness of the US President Donald Trump regarding the offer of Ukraine a security guarantee.
She stated that the European Union was “ready to do as to it”.
In her opinion, first of all, the defense needs of the EU Member States should be met. She also announced that in the coming weeks she would visit those countries closest to the first line of the front.
The chairwoman of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen also assured that the EU still supports Ukraine's pursuit of membership in the European Union. In her opinion, this declaration itself is a kind of security guarantee.
Von der Leyen announced that as long as the bloodshed in Ukraine, the European Union will continue economic sanctions and exert diplomatic pressure on Russia.
Zelanski with the basics of negotiations
The current front lines in the war with Russia should be the basis for peace conversations – However, the President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zełnski said, appearing on Sunday at a press conference in Brussels together with the head of the EC.
– We need real negotiations, which means that we can start with the place where the front line is currently located – said the president.
– At this stage, there are no signals from Russia that the three -sided peak will take place – added Zielnski, who already expressed his readiness to participate in such a format on Saturday.

The President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zelanski went on Sunday Brussels to participate in the teleconference of countries creating the so -called Coalition of volunteers – the head of the European Commission informed. She herself is to go on Monday – along with several other European politicians – to Washington, where Zelanski will meet with US President Donald Trump.
The head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski is to participate in Sunday's connection. However, there is no information that someone from Polish politicians would go to the USA on Monday.
