Until August 29, Cracovians can express their opinion on the use of fireworks in the city, in a survey prepared by the City Hall. Krakow authorities extended the time of consultation due to the high interest and active participation of residents.

According to the announcement, the gathered voices will help to decide in what direction local regulations in this area should go. The survey asked questions, among others For attitude towards different types of fireworks, time limits and spatial use, preferences about alternative shows: quiet fireworks, light shows, lasers.
Conducting public consultations on restrictions on fireworks in the city was announced in January by the President of Krakow Aleksander Miszalski. He emphasized that the residents would decide the future of fireworks in Krakow. – Talk, comment and see for your arguments. You know my opinion, playing at the expense of a second creation is not good. We can celebrate New Year's Eve or play at the dragon parade without using bang fireworks – commented Miszalski.
The matter of firing bang fireworks in the city revives every year during the New Year's Eve. Residents who mainly raise arguments related to animal welfare are in favor of the introduction of restrictions. Opponents of the ban indicate tradition and custom.
The survey is available in two ways – via the municipal website or MKraków application – the “Your opinion” tile. (PAP)
