Both sources who wished to remain anonymous stated that their knowledge of Putin’s proposals was mainly based on discussions between the leaders of Europe, the USA and Ukraine, and noted that this knowledge is not complete.
The agency notes that at least some of the requirements of the Ukrainian leadership will be very difficult to accept.

In accordance with the transaction proposed by Russia, Kyiv must completely withdraw troops from the East Donetsk and Lugansk regions in exchange for the promise of Russia to freeze the front lines in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions. According to sources, Russia will be ready to return the relatively small sections of Ukrainian lands, which it occupied in the north of the Sumy and northeast of the Kharkov regions. Reuters notes that Russia controls the territories of Sumy and Kharkov regions with a total area of about 440 square meters. km. Ukraine controls about 6600 square meters. km of Donetsk and Lugansk regions that Russia claims.

Putin also strives, at least, to the formal recognition of Russia's sovereignty over the Crimea, which Moscow occupied in 2014. It is unclear whether this recognition from the US government or, for example, all Western powers and Ukraine means. Kyiv and its European allies reject the formal recognition of Moscow power on the peninsula.

European leaders said that Trump discussed security guarantees for Ukraine during their conversation on Saturday, and also put forward the idea of guarantees for the type of “Article 5” outside the NATO military alliance. This article suggests that an attack on one of the NATO countries is equated with an attack on all members of the alliance. Action to the North Atlantic Alliance is the strategic goal of Kyiv, enshrined in the country's constitution.

The Security Service of Ukraine accuses the church related to Moscow of inciting to the Russian war against Ukraine by spreading pro -Russian propaganda and providing asylum to spies. The church denies these accusations, claiming that she tore up canonical ties with Moscow.
