The measures regarding the reform of the local administration aim at the reduction of over 40,000 positions, the annual financial impact to be 2.2 billion lei, the Minister of Darkness, Public Works and Administration, Cseke Attila, told Antena 3.
He thus answered a question about the measures included in the project regarding the reform of the local administration, which concerns personnel reductions.
“This cutting at the levels of the dignitar officers are also applied at central level, there are also cutting to the prime minister's office, deputy prime minis, ministers, state secretaries and so on, so it is a reduction in the number of councilors from above and is indeed over 6,000 positions. 20% are over 30,000 positions.
The minister also explained the need to take these measures.
“On the one hand I have to increase the revenues of the local authorities, knowing that we are in a difficult year and probably next year will be a difficult year. That is, the state will not have the opportunity to support at a financial level that I want, otherwise, the mayors in their activity. Minister Cseke.
He said that the mayors who have all the positions occupied at the moment will have to make personal layoffs.
“Here they will be less hit or the reduction will be much lower in those who do not have the full organizational chart today, that is, those who have managed the state of functions and the organizational chart by not taking all the positions. Those who have all the positions occupied, of course, will need a more consistent reduction, including reorganization, in the sense that some employees in the budget device will have to leave.”
