About 1,050,000 people – killed and wounded – were presumably lost by Russia as a result of the start of the invasion of Ukraine on a full -scale in February 2022 – British intelligence said. Only this year the number of losses on the Russian side amounted to 260 thousand.

The British intelligence gave, citing the general staff of the armed forces of Ukraine, that in July Russia lost an average of 1072 soldiers a day. From March 2025, the daily balance of human losses on the Russian side is slightly decreasing. In July this year It was the lowest since April 2024.
