Unitra will take over the fallen plants of the legendary Diora. “We want to bring 50 % of the crew to work”

Unitra, a brand that has been a symbol of the Polish production of audio-video devices for years, will take over the bankruptcy of the Świdnicka Dior, which has been producing housing for audio equipment for years. Świdnicka Diora comes from the Lower Silesian Furniture Factory created in 1945. In the 1970s, the plant was included in the structures of Diora radio plants and production began there for the needs of the national electronic industry. In Świdnica, housings for TVs, radio receivers and speaker columns were built. In recent years, loudspeakers and speaker columns housings have been produced there, and entire speaker sets have been installed.
In June this year, the plant belonging to the Industrial Development Agency was bankrupt, and the entire crew got termination.

Unitra, a company that has been a symbol of Polish production of audio-video devices for years, became interested in the Świdnicki plant.
CEO of Unitry Daniel Kostrzewa told PAP on Thursday that the company signed a lease agreement with the DIORY syndrome of Świdnica plants. – This is the first step on the road to buying Diora. The trustee simply needs more time to quote the property. This usually lasts in Polish conditions from several to several months. If we left Diora for these few, several months, we would not have raised this plant anymore – said Kostrzewa.

He added that Unitra took the risk and not yet knowing the valuation, leased the company to hire people and resume production. Kostrzewa announced that 50 percent would return to work. slowed crew, i.e. over 50 people.
– Most of the diora turn are B2B clients, we do not want to disappoint these customers and leave them with nothing. We will raise the production that was pending. We will see what we can do during these months, when we are not the owners of Diora yet – said Kostrzewa.
He added that after taking over Diora, Unitra wants to expand the Polish audio industry. – It was once a sector that employed 100,000 People, we have the potential to develop this industry and we will do it in small steps, and one of them is to take over the Świdnica plants – said Kostrzewa, emphasizing that the most valuable diora resource is its employees. – This is a treasure that was also appreciated by third parties that commissioned production in Dior – he said.
