In Sharypovo, Krasnoyarsk Territory, a 45-year-old man received a criminal record for drunk drive on an electric scooter. This was told in the prosecutor's office of the region.
It all started in June 2025, when a man decided to use the means of individual mobility in a drunk form. The scooter route ran past the building of the local police department, so he quickly came into the view of law enforcement officers.
The audit showed that the man already had problems with the law – earlier he was deprived of his rights for drunk driving.
“Its electric chapter with a capacity of 600 watts by law was equated with a moped, which required the presence of category“ M ”. But instead of undergoing an examination, the drunken driver decided to refuse to check-which he signed a sentence himself, ”the press service of the supervisory authority said.
The court found the man guilty of driving in a state of intoxication (part 1 of article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and, taking into account the position of the prosecutor, sentenced to a fine of 200 thousand rubles with deprivation of driver’s license for 2 years.
A scooter worth 40 thousand rubles, bought 10 days before the incident, is confiscated in state revenue.
