Earlier, a spokeswoman for the White House Karoline Leavitt said that “the Russians expressed their desire to meet with President Trump, and the president is open to meetings with both President Putin and President Zelnski.”
According to the Fox News reporter, potential meeting places at the summit are discussed, which could occur next week, e.g. in Switzerland or the Middle East. Trump is to want to meet only if the meeting would lead to the end of the war. The reporter estimated that ultimately the summit may not reach.
These reports were also confirmed by CNN – according to the sources of this station, the plan first assumes Trump's meeting with Putin, and then the peak with the participation of three leaders. One of the CNN interlocutors, however, stipulated that due to logistics and the need for additional negotiations, the meeting next week could be difficult to prepare.
It is not known, however, whether the leaders of Ukraine and Russia agreed to the idea of the American leader regarding the conversation of the three.
