The Norwegian club has already made an official announcement:

Group B of the Champions League has them in composition on Ikast, Podravka, Krim, Ferencvaros, Odense, CSM Bucharest, Brest and Sola. Romania also has a representative in Group A, Gloria Bistrița.

The decision of the European Handball Federation on Tuesday was taken following the information received from the provisional administrator of the Insolvency HB Ludwigsburg, according to which the club would not have been able to obtain the necessary funds to participate in the Champions League.

With the information regarding the financial situation of the Ludwigsburg club, the European Handball Federation has made contact with Sola HK. The Norwegian team was one of the clubs that requested a promotion in the Champions League. Sola HK will now take Hb Ludwigsburg's place in Group B.

Moreover, EHF will initiate legal procedures against HB Ludwigsburg and the German handball federation, respectively the German women's handball league, based on the registration requirements stipulated in the Champions League regulations.

Sola returns to Romania

Sola visited Romania and the previous European season. He was part of Group B of European League. He lost both matches played against SCM Rm. Vâlcea, 34-38 and 29-32.
