The entrepreneur was suspected of fraud in the repair of a rural library in the Kezhem district of the region

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a criminal case on fraud on an especially large scale during the repair of a rural library was opened against an individual entrepreneur.

As told in the UK, in 2022 between the defendant and the Kezhem inter -settlement central library named after A.F. Karnaukhov concluded 14 municipal contracts totaling more than 6 million rubles for the repair of the building of the IMBRA rural library. Financing was allocated as part of the implementation of the National Project “Culture”.

According to the investigation, during the performance of the work, the contractor partially violated the terms of the contracts:

“He used cheaper materials and equipment, misleading the customer that the replacement is equivalent. In addition, part of the work provided for by the contracts was not completed. After the final repair was completed, the suspect submitted reporting documents with inaccurate information, on the basis of which he paid in full. During the examination of the library building, numerous violations were identified. ”

According to preliminary estimates, the entrepreneur unreasonably received about 1.3 million rubles. He is currently detained, the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being resolved. Investigation of the criminal case under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code continues.
