The announcement of the president of USR Dominic Fritz that the USR will boycott the funeral of former President Ion Iliescu, criticizing at the same time the decision to organize state funerals, inflamed the spirits of the coalition partners from the PSD.
Sorin Grindeanu, the interim president of the PSD, asked for decency and respect ”Compared to the most important function in the state and to the man who led Romania on the path of democracy! ”
In a Facebook post, Grindeanu writes: “Romania on the way of democracy! Deception to everything he represented and left as a political inheritance! Humanity to the family and close friends he left behind! So much more! Without scandal, without the little soul and sterile propaganda! You cannot reduce a leader, an era and a destiny! No matter how hard you struggle. Rest in peace, Mr. President! ”.
For his part, former PSD president Marcel Ciolacu asked the fishermen to ignore the users.
“Dear colleagues, in the memory of former President Ion Iliescu and out of respect for the bereaved family, please ignore all the political and political misery!
There are only painful attacks of people who will never rise to the height of the inheritance left by the founding leader of the PSD.
The morbid propaganda of a party simulacrum, made on account of a former president of Romania, demonstrates only sick and lack of decency.
The Snagov Pact is just an example of a vision from former President Ion Iliescu who could hardly be matched by some who do not understand what it really means to be a state man.
The wounds of the soul and the societal faults do not close through division and stupid revolts in the face of history ”, wrote Marcel Ciolacu.
USR asked on Tuesday, in the government meeting, not to be decreed for the death of former president Ion Iliescu. USR announced by the voice of the party president, Dominic Fritz, that his representatives will not participate in the funerals of former President Ion Iliescu. Thus, the party officials will boycott the state funerals organized by the government of which they belong.
“Out of respect for the victims of the revolution and the mining, the USR proposed in the government meeting not to be a national mourning. We take note of the Government's decision. USR representatives will not participate in funerals”, Wrote Dominic Fritz.
