tensions after the words of Prime Minister Tusk

In the official announcement of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, cited by the portal Times of Israelit was announced that the Ambassador Hunia was called on the so -called Demarche-the official intervention-by the head of the Political and Strategic Department of the Ministry.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Donald Tusk published an entry on the website X in which he referred to the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip. He wrote:
“Poland was, is and will be on the side of Israel in its confrontation with Islamic terrorism, but never on the side of politicians whose activities lead to hunger and death of mothers and children. This must be obvious to the nations that went through the hell of World War II together.”
- The prime minister takes the floor on the Gaza Zone: “Poland is on the side of Israel, but …”
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to these words, which stated that:
“Israel strongly rejects these accusations and expects Poland to refrain from using a language that distorts history and shameful memory of the victims of the Holocaust.”
The ministry also noted that Israel conducts activities against a terrorist organization, which openly calls for the murder of Jews and the destruction of Israel. It was pointed out that these activities are in accordance with international law, and Humanitarian aid for the inhabitants of Gaza has recently been intensified, also in cooperation with the European Union.
The humanitarian crisis is growing on the ruined territory. International organizations alert about dramatic deficiencies in food and water supply. Only during the last day – as local medical services reported – eight people died of hunger. From the beginning of the conflict, the number of malnutrition victims was 188, including 94 children.
Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs also referred to Tusk's entry directly on the website X, claiming that the head of the Polish government combined the right condemnation of Hamas with “Inadmissible reference to politicians”.
Earlier, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs published its own position, emphasizing that Poland “He recognizes Israel's law to defend, but does not accept the number of victims in the Gaza Strip, people killed by Israeli forces in the desire to eliminate the combat and organizational abilities of Hamas.”
