The Russian-Turkish NPP “Akkui” is surrounded by forest fires. In the morning, Russian aviation connected the Be-200 aircraft and Mi-8 helicopters.
More than 10 thousand Russians operate in the area – they are involved in the construction of the station. Fires flashed due to drought, there are no data on the victims.
Earlier, the Turkish authorities reported fires in five provinces in the north-west of the country: Eskishekhir, Balykesir, Izmir, Afjonkarachisar and Manis. According to the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Ibrahim Yumakla, ten people were killed.
