Orange and yellow code for torrential rains and vijeles in Suceava county, severely affected by floods

The National Meteorological Administration has issued a nowcasting warning of torrential showers in Suceava county, valid on Sunday, until 5:00 pm.

Meterologists have reported torrential showers that will accumulate 25-40 l/sqm, frequent electric shocks, wind intensifications (50-70 km/h) and hail, 2-4cm. The warning is valid between 3:55 pm and 5:00 pm, in the following localities in Suceava county: Margine, Arbore, Horodnic de Sus, Solca, Horodnic de Jos, Sucevița.
Also, the Nowcasting yellow code warnings were issued by the showers in the other localities in Suceava, also until 5:00 pm. The authorities continued the major interventions in Suceava county, severely affected by the floods of the last week.
The most affected localities are Broșteni, Ostra and Stulpicani, where firefighters, gendarmes, police, forestry, employed from Romanian waters and volunteers work uninterrupted to remedy the damage. Water and alluvium were evacuated from 593 households. At the same time, complex operations are carried out for decolmatization, removal of waste and restoring the affected infrastructure.
In Broșteni, military firefighters delivered over one million liters of water to support the operation of water supply facilities and the partial resumption of essential services.
The employees of the water management system intervened in 47 bridges and bridges, which were discharged, recalibrated and, in the necessary cases, the shore receptors were restored to restore the safety of the traffic. A yellow code warning of torrential showers is also valid in localities in Caraş-Severin, Timiș, Neamț or from the mountain area of Sibiu county, until Sunday, at 5:00-17: 30.
We recall that on Sunday, between 12:00 and 21:00, Mehedinți, Dolj, Olt and Teleorman counties will be under the yellow code. The maximum temperatures will reach 35–36 degrees Celsius, and the temperature-humidity index (ITU) will reach the critical threshold of 80 units.
At the same time, starting at 8:00 pm and until Monday, 07:00, another yellow atmospheric instability code is in force for the Banat, Crișana, Maramureș, northwest Transylvania and Western Carpathians.
ANM announces torrential showers, electric discharges, wind intensifications with gusts of 50-70 km/h, vijelii and isolated hail. In short intervals or by accumulation, water quantities can reach 20-30 l/sqm and isolated can exceed 40 l/sqm.
