The Romanian students obtained four gold medals at the International Informatics Olympiad, held in Sucre, in Bolivia, announces on Saturday the Ministry of Education, which calls the result as “historian”.
“It is the best result obtained by Romania at this competition, located at the 37th edition. Ioi took place in Sucre, in Bolivia, with the participation of over 90 countries,” the Ministry of Education said.
The medals were won by: Rareş-Andrei Neculau, 11th grade, “Vasile Alecsandri” Galati National College; Rareş-Felix Tudose, 12th grade, International Theoretical High School of Informatics Bucharest; Mihai-Valeriu Voicu, 11th grade, International Theoretical High School of Informatics Bucharest; Mircea Maxim Rebengiuc, 11th grade, “Tudor Vianu” National College of Informatics.
The scientific coordination of the group of our country was ensured by the representatives of the Society for Excellence and Performance (SEPI), who made the selection and training of representative lots: Marius Nicoli, the National College “Buzesti” Craiova, and Bogdan Ioan Popa, the University of Bucharest, and the organizational one by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education.
