Present in the newspaper studio, Munteanu also remembered childhood, including a painful incident, but he says he learned.
He was in the 4th grade when his father – Ion “Gogu” Munteanu, and he was a footballer – beaten with the belt because he did not reach an ophthalmological consultation, tricked by the other children in the neighborhood.
He tells, with details, the official of the federation.
Exclusive video | Vlad Munteanu, at Podcastul GSP “2 to 1”: “Dad beat me with the belt. I remember now and where he gave me!”
“I wore glasses in the 4th grade, I continue to read it. For my dad there was a shock. He, being a footballer, saw me all a footballer. He was a shock for him. They put me some jars, as in ancient …”, says Munteanu.
“What should I do? I had to go to the polyclinic in Bacău, to look at a device, where I had a slide. I had to put the lion in a cage, the tractor in the garage, so were the exercises … and I put them at the minus one, plus one.
“And one day, I had to finish with the football in front of the block and go to the polyclinic for exercises. As I played football, the sirens called. Do you know how the sirens were in the city? They were doing emergency exercises. That was the case, there were no phones.
Well, I had the ball then, I was happy. And these older ones say, “Syrians sound! It's the closed polyclinic! You have nothing else to do, stay in football! ». I, I think, say “good” and I stayed. Those at the cool, to keep me, that I was leaving with the ball! ”, Says Munteanu, laughing.

“Since then, all the clocks set me 5 minutes before”
What followed? “And now I remember how my dad came by car and he motioned for me to come. He gave me a beat! I also know the place, near the window, where I was, as I was. With the belt beat me! I know punctually and how many belts I took, where he gave them. It's the only beat I took from my dad. And surely what he will hear now will not like it, no parent is well.”.
“But since then, all the clocks set me 5 minutes before. I didn't miss a meeting. I was punctual. I understood. I didn't delay anything, I didn't miss anything!”, Says Vlad Munteanu.
Dad exaggerated, somehow. Because he was afraid, I had to go and do the exercises, I have no problems after. That was his way. I repeat, once happened. Otherwise, I had no problem with him. I didn't give in me that I didn't give an emptiness or something … it really took my defense all the time. He also quarreled with Sechelariu from this perspective, for me, in Bacău
