The richest Pole wants to build small reactors in Slovakia. “Memorandum on cooperation”


According to SGE, the parties declare their willingness to cooperate in the signed Memorandum of Understanding in the field of investment capabilities, the process of licensing and developing projects related to the implementation of small modular reactors (SMR) in Slovakia and other Central and Eastern European countries. According to the agreement, cooperation may include the creation of joint venture companies, building a capital and debt financing structure, and the development of regional supply chains.
In particular, the parties are to analyze the possibilities of cooperation in the areas of the conclusion of local partnerships, investments in targeted companies and other business models in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Great Britain, as well as the construction of digital infrastructure and linking SMR projects with the development of data centers and calculation technologies.
In Poland with Orlen
Synthos Green Energy is belonging to Michał Sołowów (99 percent of shares, and 1 percent belongs to Synthos, in which 100 % belongs to Sołowo) a company that in Poland, together with Orlen, as Orlen Synthos Green Energy (Osge) plans to build a fleet of the BWRX-300 reactor. The BWRX-300 structure of GE Vernova-Hitachi Nuclear Energy belongs to the family of water-building reactors (BWR).
At the same time, due to the relatively low power – 300 MWe, it is included in the so -called SMR – small modular reactors. To level out the liquidation of all coal power plants in Poland, you would need to install 75 such SMR. The first indicated locations in Poland are Ponds Monowskie near Oświęcim, Włocławek and Ostrołęka.
Last year, SGE had 477,000 PLN income and PLN 4.5 million net loss, so it is only a special purpose company for now. The pearl in the crown of businesses by Michał Sołowow, i.e. spatizing in the production of rubber, insulation materials and electricity, Holding Synthos had PLN 8.6 billion in turnover (-4.4 percent yaws) and PLN 435 million of net profit (-21.3 percent RDR).
Slovenské Elektrárne is the largest producer of electricity in Slovakia. 66 percent The company has a private Czech company EPH (Energeticky A Prumyslovy Holding), the rest belongs to the government of Slovakia. He is the operator of Mochovce and Bohunice nuclear power plants. Five blocks with a power of 470 to 500 MW work in them, each construction of the sixth is completed.
