Succession in the Solorz Empire. What will the next hearings bring?

On July 29, as “Rzeczpospolita” informs, a meeting of the Cyprus Supreme Court was held. It was another element of a loud dispute over the succession, which is the billionaire Zygmunt Solorz with his children. According to the newspaper, the court did not make a substantive decision, but indicated specific dates regarding further proceedings to the parties.
The children of Zygmunt Solorz have until September 8 to object to their father's request, while until September 15 both sides can present their positions in writing.
On September 19, another hearing is scheduled, during which the court will decide whether to consider the application of Solorz's proxies on the so -called Certiorari, i.e. a court order enabling the revision of an earlier judgment of the Court of First Instance regarding the protection granted to children.

The proxies of Zygmunt Solorz did not withdraw from the proceedings, despite the fact that the lawyers representing children on July 21 withdrew the application for security, which aroused controversy. This security prohibited personnel changes in Cypriot companies and subsidiaries, which are part of the Solorz group. It was criticized because it was awarded in ex party mode, i.e. without the participation of the other party.
Changes in the management boards of key companies
After withdrawing the application for security, as Jarosław Kołkowski explains for “Rzeczpospolita”, Changes in the management board and the Supervisory Board of Cyfrowy Polsat and subsidiaries have become possible.
On July 22, Cyfrowy Polsat informed in a stock exchange office that Tivi Foundation carried out personal changes in the company's management board and the company's supervisory board. Andrzej Abramczuk, the current president of Netia, became the new president, and Mirosław Błaszczyk was dismissed. Daniel Kaczorowski was appointed the chairman of the supervisory board, while Zygmunt Solorz lost this position.
Patron Kołkowski, a representative of the Tivi Foundation, explained that the council was guided by the care of the safety of the foundation's property. He also assured that the activities of the companies took place without interference, and the appointment of Andrzej Abramczuk to the position of president was aimed at maintaining stability.
Disputes about the lifetime function and actions of the Foundation
The Tivi Foundation statute provides that Polsat's founder has the right to act as chairman of the supervisory board. Zygmunt Solorz announced an appeal against the foundation's decision to dismiss it. The Foundation's proxies indicate, however, that there is a condition – the founder may not act to the detriment of the foundation, and the curator appointed by the court in Liechtenstein was to state such actions from Solorz.
The Tivi Foundation also made similar changes in Polkomtel, Aw Netia and Polsat television dismissed Zygmunt Solorz from supervisory boards. The billionaire's proxies have also announced the appeal of these decisions.
Proceedings in the National Court Register and the main dispute in Liechtenstein
Currently, proceedings regarding registration of changes in the authorities of companies, initiated by interested entities are pending in the National Court Register. Both sides of the conflict submitted their positions to the case file, although they are formally not parties to the proceedings before the National Court Register. Only authorized persons have access to documents.
However, the most important dispute about succession takes place in Liechtenstein. Zygmunt Solorz convinces the local court that in August 2024 he was misled by his children and therefore agreed to changes in the statute of Tivi Foundation, which indirectly controls the majority package of the Cyfrowy Polsat campaign. In the first instance, Solorz lost, and on June 18 he appealed. If he does not obtain a favorable judgment this time, there will be no next instance, and control over the foundation will go into the hands of children.

Currently, the Tivi Foundation is exercised by a three -person council, in which a curator appointed by the court, Tomasz Szeląg – recognized as a trusted financial advisor Zygmunt Solorz – and Jarosław Grzesiak, a lawyer, who has been cooperating with a billionaire, currently representing the interests of children for years.
