The Aeroflot airline was affected by a massive cyber attack, which led to the cancellation of dozens of races. What threatens hackers with

The Aeroflot Russian airline was forced to cancel dozens of flights on Monday, after an obscure group of pro-Ukrainian hackers took responsibility for what it described as a devastating cyber attack, Reuters reports.
The national carrier of Russia has not provided additional details about the cause of the problem or how long it will take its remedy, but the departure panels at Seremetievo Airport in Moscow have blushed by canceled flights, just in which many Russians take their holidays.
The Kremlin said the situation is worrying, and the prosecutors confirmed that the problems of the airline are the result of a computer attack and have opened a criminal investigation.
A statement who claims to come from a group of hackers called “Silent Crow” said that the operation was carried out with a Belarus group called “Cyberpartisans by” as a sign of support for Ukraine.
“Glory Ukraine! Live Belarus!”, It is shown in a message distributed by the hackers from “Silent Crow”.
The group has previously assumed responsibility for this year's attacks on a real estate base in Russia, a telecommunications state company, a large insurance company, the IT Department of the Moscow Government and on the Russian Bureau of the South Korean car manufacturer. Some of these attacks have led to massive data leaks.
“The information we read in the public space is quite alarming. The threat represented by hackers is a threat that persists for all the big companies providing services to the population,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov.
“We will, of course, clarify the information and wait for the rigorous explanations,” he promised.
Aeroflot, the Ministry of Transport of Moscow and the Russian Aviation Regulatory Authority did not respond immediately to Reuters Reuters for Cyber attack.
Hackers claim to have obtained all Aeroflot passenger data
The airline said he has canceled over 50 flights -most of them on internal routes, but also to the capital Belarusus Minsk and the capital of Armenia, Erevan -, after reporting a failure of his computer systems. At least another 10 flights were delayed.
“The specialists are currently working to minimize the impact on the flight schedule and to restore the normal functioning of the services,” said Aeroflot.
The statement on behalf of the “Silent Crow” group stated that the cyber attack is the result of an operation during a year, which has penetrated the air network in depth, destroyed 7,000 servers and took control over the personal computers, including high -ranking directors.
The group of hackers did not provide any evidence in this regard, but threatened that the publication of “the personal data of all the Russians who have ever flew with Aeroflot will be started.
Furious passengers in Russia
Since the triggering by President Vladimir Putin of the War in Ukraine, in February 2022, Russian travelers have become accustomed to flight disturbances. However, these delays were usually caused by temporary airports closure during drone attacks.
The irritated passengers poured their anger on the VK social network, the Russian equivalent of Facebook, complaining about the lack of clear information from the airline.
Malena Ashi wrote: “I stay at the Airport in Volgograd from 3:30 !!!!!! The flight was rescheduled for the third time !!!!!! This time was rescheduled for about 14:50, and had to take off at 5:00!”
Another woman, Yulia Pahota, wrote: “The call-center is unavailable, the site is unavailable, the application is unavailable. How can I return a ticket or change it with the next flight, as Aeroflot suggests?”.
The airline has announced that affected passengers may request refund or other tickets within 10 days.
Despite the Western sanctions imposed on Russia, which drastically limited the travel options and the number of routes, Aeroflot remains among the first 20 airlines in the world compared to the number of passengers transported, which last year reached 55.3 million people, according to its site.
