David Popovici, immediately after the semi -final at 200 meters free from Singapore: “It was like a book!”
“The first time I was in Asia at a contest I was 16, at the Olympic Games. I was very uninitiated. Every race was a new experience for me. I had a lot to learn. At Fukouka Na was my best contest, I didn't feel good.
After the day today, the first day of qualifications and semifinals, I can say that I have passed the hardest day. It's the day with the most meters. The first race is the most difficult, you have to get used to the competition emotions. Even at my level, and much above, the world has emotions.
There are a lot of races, it would not hurt to swim qualifications and semifinals directly. It's okay, I get old, it's good. The hardest day passed. I feel ok, I have to sleep and rest for tomorrow. I am satisfied. It was a semi -final like a book! I managed not to give everything I had and at the same time to be enough to qualify comfortable“, David Popovici said immediately after the semi -final in Singapore.
