A train with 100 passengers derailed in Germany. More people died

A train with about 100 travelers on board derailed on Sunday, July 27, near the city of Riedlingen, from Bibrach district. At least three people died and others were seriously injured, after two wagons derailed in an wooded area, the authorities quoted by the AP.

Previously, there was a storm in the region. It is not yet known whether the accident is related to this. The images at the accident site show wagons reversed on one side and a massive presence of the intervention crews. Also, fallen trees can be seen in the area.
A possible connection is under examination, said a spokesman for the Ulm Police headquarters.
The images from the place of the tragedy show broken branches and a train of the train, torn in the accident, a few meters away, on the edge of the railway.
According to the German weather service, the storms affected the region in the early hours of the evening. At the local level, 30 to 40 liters per square meter fell, in a short time, said meteorologist Dominik Smieskol in Munich.
