Tensioned relationships between Barcelona and goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen (33) continue. Two days ago, the German goalkeeper officially announced that he would operate due to back pain and estimated the absence period on the ground as about three months.
His official statement has angered the leadership of Barcelona, reports “Mundo Deportivo” and “Sport”. It seems that the plan was for both the club and the player to issue a common statement about the surgery. However, Ter Stegen and its representatives decided to hurry the announcement.

In addition, the club believes that Ter Stegen will be missing for more than three months, as he said. The delicate issue is that, according to the regulation in Liga, if a player is missing at least 4 months due to an injury, the club can withdraw it from the list of registered players.
Ter Stegen's statement, in which it specifies a three -month absence, complicates these plans and could create problems when registering new footballers, more precisely of his competitor, Joan Garcia.
However, the club claims that it will not have problems with the use of the new goalkeeper brought from Espanyol.
