The spokesman for the government, Ioana Dogioiu, avoided saying if Dragoș Anastasiu will lose her position as Deputy Prime Minister on Friday, on B1 TV, but said she wonders “very hard if there is no direct connection between the attacks on Mr. Anastasiu, including information that is not rigorously correct, and that the fact that will coordinate”.

The representative of the government was asked about the corruption file in which Dragoș Anastasiu, currently Deputy Prime Minister, acknowledged that his companies have given eight years to an ANAF inspector.

“Mr. Anastasiu was not a denouncer in this case, he was only a witness. He was a denouncer. It is a fundamental clarification, because everything I want to tell you about this case, in whose details I do not enter because we do not have justice on the television and in the press, the justice was already made, there is no case, in this case Witness, but a witness.

Asked if Dragoș Anastasiu will remain in the prime minister's office, Ioana Dogioiu replied: “I do not want to do. It is what I wanted to specify, for a correct, complete and rigorous information.”

Receiving the same question again, Dogioiu replied: “I made all the details that I considered to do.”

“I wonder very much if there is no direct connection between the attacks on Mr. Anastasiu, including with information that is not rigorously correct, and the fact that he will coordinate the reorganization of state companies, but this is a personal question of mine. More than I told you, I do not intend to declare you, whenever you ask me,”

Bribe eight years to an ANAF inspector

For eight years, during the period 2009-2017, the companies of Deputy Prime Minister Dragoș Anastasiu bribed an ANAF inspector in order not to have problems with controls, according to a DNA investigation, completed two years ago with a definitive conviction of the official who took a bribe.

Anastasiu acknowledged the bribe of ANAF employee both in front of DNA and judges. Neither he nor his employees were charged because his business partner has filed the DNA.

In a group of communication with the press, the government spokesman said of the “circumstances of the case” that “they have nothing to do with the quality of deputy prime minister and to the duties of Mr. Dragoș Anastasiu”.
