On July 23, 1997, the EAO government was formed.
The Government of the region was formed on the basis of the Law of EAO No. 34-OZ “On State Power in the Jewish Autonomous Region”. The structure of the Government of the EAO was approved by the Decree of the Governor of the EAO of August 20, 1997 No. 1.
The regional government is a permanent higher executive body of state power of the region.
The Government of the region carries out its activities on the basis of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, federal constitutional laws, federal laws, regulatory legal acts of the President of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Russian Federation, the charter of the region, laws of the region, decisions, orders of the governor of the region.
The regional government is a legal entity, has a stamp.
Ensuring the activities of the Government of the region is carried out by the apparatus of the governor and the government of the region.
The Government of the region consists of the Governor of the region, vice-governor of the region, the first deputy chairman of the Government of the region, deputy chairman of the Government of the region, with the exception of the deputy chairman of the Government of the region-head of the representative of the Government of the region under the Government of the Russian Federation, as well as the heads of the executive authority of the region formed by the Government of the region: the regional government department of the regional government, management of the regional government, the regional government management, and the government management and construction of the Government of the Government regions, the management of the regional government, the financial department of the Government of the region, the Committee for Social Protection of the Population of the Government of the region, the Committee on the Management of State Property of the Region, the Education Committee of the region.
The governor of the region heads the EAO government and forms its composition. The regional government develops and executes the budget, disposes and manages regional property, organizes interaction with business structures.

July 23, 1918
