Donald Trump boasts another commercial agreement. “Philippines are opening the market for the USA and endure duties”


According to Trump, the United States will impose 19 % duties on imports from the Philippineshigher than 17 % “mutual” duties, which the US imposed briefly in April, but slightly lower than 20 % tariffs, which he threatened in a letter at the beginning of this month.

“In addition, we will cooperate in the field of military. It was a great honor to meet the president. He is very respected in his country, as he deserves. He is also a very good and hard negotiator,” wrote Trump in his post.

The final terms of the contract have not yet been officially confirmed by the Marcos government.

The Philippines maintain significant trade relations with the United States. Last year, they exported goods worth $ 14.1 billion to the USA. (PLN 51 billion PLN 258 million).
