Remember Stefan Ashkovski? North-Macedonian offensive midfielder, who could play in the tape, but also withdrawn. The footballer who impressed at FC Botosani and was on the list of Gigi Becali, after the player scored in the red-blue gate. Ashkovski won the Romanian Cup with Sepsi.

Stefan Ashkovski is now free of contract and is waiting at home, at Skopje, to materialize one of the discussions started for the future destination.

Until then, the North Macedonian gave an interview to the reporters of the Sports Gazette in which he talked about the match Shkendija – FCSB, but also about his adventure in Romania. About the extraordinary memories he has about our country, in a future episode. Ashkovski has played in Shkendija in the past.

Stefan Ashkovski about the tonight match: “FCSB is a big name, it would not have to be afraid”

– What are you doing, Stefan, I found you well! It is very hot, much warmer than in Romania, as in Bucharest, where there is a red code.
– These days, in Skopje, in Macedonia, it is very hot. I never remember that it was so hot. Anyway, much over what was last year.

– I told you about the heat in the perspective of the tonight game. How much will it affect?
– I think it will be better at night. But it will be hard to play. However, we are talking about professional footballers who have to adapt to all details, including very hot. I think we will have an interesting match.

– How will the atmosphere be at the stadium? Many people, pressure?
– Certainly, there will be a lot of Shkendija. However, I don't think it will be the full stadium.

– The arena has 33,000 seats, the organizers claim that there will be around 7,000 people.
– Shkendija is a big name in Macedonia. FCSB is a big, important name, I do not think it will be afraid of the atmosphere. The world will come to see an important name, a strong match.

– Would it have been the greater pressure if Vardar played with FCSB?
– Now or in general? Vardar is at the level at which he wants to return to life now, with larger investments. From the point of view of the impact, of the pressure of the public, Vardar would have been a more difficult opponent for FCSB than Shkendija.

Shkendija has done great things in recent years, has raised football level in the country. Pull the champion up. The team has a winning mentality. Always try to bring the best players. Is the richest club in Macedonia currently

Stefan Ashkovski named Besart Ibraimi's main talent: “The shot from any distance”

– Can you call me one, two more dangerous players from Shkendija?
– I honestly tell you, I don't know the ones from Shkendija too well. Yes, I know Ibraimi, a legendary player here, with an extraordinary shot, with many goals.

– What is his main talent?
– The shot. It is not important from where it has the opportunity to shoot, from 20-30 meters, assumes responsibilities and is successful.

– Who has the first chance to qualify?
– Honestly, FCSB has the first chance at qualifying. I know that FCSB also has some problems with the owner (Gigi Becali), I read to you on the site, I read the average in Romania.

– The same discussions, which you know, quarrels the players, reconcile …
– (laughs) Yes, yes, I open the news and understand. FCSB is a big club, over the years, it has great experience in Europe, they are favored.

– I remember that FCSB wanted you at the beginning of your experience in Romania …
– In my first six months in Romania, while I was at FC Botosani.

– What were the discussions?
– It was a preliminary thing, but I remember that Botosani wanted me to stay there. I started the season, I was on the wave.

“I think you would have liked to go to FCSB?”
“You certainly realize.” A big club, with superconditions, with a high stadium, with high expectations.

– You played in Botosani, Sepsi, you know Romania. Who did you nominate as the largest club in Romania?
– I would say fcsb.

I would like to come back to play in Romania. I was ready at some point. I played very well in the Netherlands, I scored 12 goals at Fortuna Sittard, then something happened and I slipped. And Marius Croitoru brought me to Botosani, I greet him in this way. And life has changed for the better, it helped me a lot

Stefan Ashkovski about the most difficult opponents in Romania: “FCSB, Alibec, Budescu”

– Sepsi is now in the second league, you won the cup with this band.
– It's very sad. Especially since we are talking about an important formation, with potential. I couldn't believe it when I read. That was the fault of players, coaches, management, I don't know.

– How was your life in Romania?
– Wonderful. Basically, my two children were formed.

– The hardest opponent in football?
– FCSB. (laughs) But I scored against this team, so … well I don't play tonight. A player? Alibec, surely, I know he returned to FCSB. And Budescu liked it very much.
