The speaker of EX Guillaume Mersier during a briefing on July 22 also announced anxiety about the situation, the Radio Freedom correspondent said. In his opinion, NABU and SAP must act regardless of “to fight corruption and have the confidence of the public.” Mercier emphasized that the EU provides financial assistance to Ukraine, the condition of which is progress in transparency, judicial reform and democratic administration.
According to the EC speaker, Ukraine’s entry into the EU will require “strong potential to combat corruption and ensure institutional stability.” He also added that the EU will follow what is happening and support Ukraine “in compliance with the supremacy of law.”
