On July 19, the Musical Festival “Empathy Square” will be held in Krasnoyarsk. It will take place in the Museum Center “The World Square” and promises to become one of the brightest summer events in the city.
On this day, the creative space will be divided into several sections and scenes, where multi-jaw compositions will sound from the post-punk and ending with the indie. Artists of the All-Russian scale “Where is the phantom?”, Katya Miltai and Thomas Mraz will perform on the same site with local Krasnoyarsk performers “Mongoloid”, “Pictures of the past”, “Mumu” and representatives of the DJ-Industry.
Guests of the festival will be able to freely move between musical locations, art objects and recreation areas, creating their own unique route of impressions.
“Many have heard about“ Vk Fest ”,“ Wild Mint ”,“ Stereoleto ”and know that large performers act there. But, unfortunately, to get to such festivals, you must definitely go somewhere. And we are in Krasnoyarsk – and, it turns out, it is not necessary to go anywhere, and the level of artists is in no way inferior. The music festival is about the atmosphere of the holiday: pleasant meetings, hugs and smiles. I would very much like many to come precisely for energy and Waib. We will do everything so that our visitors like it, ”said the organizer of the event of Vlad Varshavskaya.
The Festival “Empathy Square” is the result of the joint work of the museum center and the independent organization “Empathy”, which annually experiment with the formats for the presentation of the musical scene. So, for example, in 2024, the truck in which the artists performed was the main feature of the summer music festival in Krasnoyarsk.
This year, the cultural component of the event is closely echoing with the choice of location – the museum, as an institution, is a “living nerve” of our time, reacting to public trends.
“Today, the boundaries between genres, mediums and disciplines are erased – artists work with sound, scientists cooperate with curators, and the viewer wants not only to watch, but also to worry, participate, ask questions. We consider it important to answer these changes – not to adapt to trends, but to be a platform where new formats, meanings and scenarios of interaction are born. The museum, which does not go beyond the usual, loses its voice in a modern cultural conversation, ”said Olga Temnikova, director of the World Square.
