Tehran rebuilt the anti -aircraft defense system partly destroyed during the last month's 12 -day war with Israel – AFP agency reported on Sunday, citing Iranian military statements published in the state media.

In mid -June, Israel began an unprecedented aviation campaign against Iran, who, according to the Israeli authorities, was already a step away from creating a nuclear bomb. Tehran responded with attacks of rockets and drones – the agency reminded.
Israeli attacks inflicted a significant blow to the defense of the Islamic Republic air. However, as General Mahmud Musawi, Irna's press agency, “damaged defense systems have already been mentioned.”
He added that air defense proved that he was able to face every threat. “The shooting down so many hostile aircraft testifies to the courage and will of our defenders,” he said. Iran claims that he shot down a few Israeli fighters, but he did not present any recording or additional details – noted the emigre portal Iran International.
During the 12-day war, Israeli forces freely attacked targets throughout Iran, including in the capital and its surroundings. Israeli military argue that 120 air defense systems were destroyed or immobilized – about one third of the systems at the time Tehran.
The Iranian air defense network includes the national production systems of Bavar-373 and Khordad-15, designed to combat rocket shells and aircraft. In 2016, Tehran also installed Russian air defense systems S-300.
The sizes of Iran, about 1.6 million square kilometers, pose a challenge for integrated air defense – noted the portal.
Israel's attacks were aimed at military infrastructure and nuclear objects throughout Iran. On June 22, the United States also carried out unprecedented attacks on Iranian nuclear objects in Ford, Isfahanie and Natanz.
However, the full range of damage caused to the Iranian nuclear program remains unknown. (PAP)
