He reminded that this week a contract was signed between the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and one of the leading American companies regarding the production of drones. “Thanks to this, Ukraine will receive hundreds of thousands of drones this year,” said Zelanski.
The President of Ukraine called this priority project and pointed out that the contract was concluded on special conditions, and in next year Ukraine can count on “much more drones”.
Zelanski also emphasized that he gave Trump and Americans condolences in connection with the floods in Texas. – We express sympathy to the US President, the American nation and all the inhabitants of Texas, who suffered as a result of terrible, deadly floods. We connect in pain with the families of fatalities, as well as with all American communities affected by this spontaneous disaster – he wrote on Saturday on X.

Zelanski also expressed the hope that the missing, including children from the summer camp, would return to a safe place as soon as possible, and wished the force of rescuers and a quick return to normality to the flood -affected regions.
On Friday, on the day of Zelanski's conversation with Trump, the President of Ukraine announced that in the “very important” telephone conversation they set a meeting of their teams and strengthening Ukrainian air defense.
“Today we talked about the situation: about Russian air attacks and more broadly – about the situation on the front. President Trump is very well informed, thank you for this attention to Ukraine. We discussed the possibilities of air defense and agreed that we will work on strengthening the protection of our sky. We also agreed to meet our teams,” wrote Zełeski in the Telegram.
He emphasized that he wished Trump and the American nation to the occasion of Independence Day. “We are grateful in Ukraine for all support given, which allows us to protect human life and our independence. We have done a lot together with America and we support all efforts to stop killing and restoring a normal, lasting and worthy peace. A worthy peace agreement is needed, and Ukraine supports American proposals,” wrote Zełess.
