The first evening from Euro 2025 female football was completed. Infernal match for Alina Peșu

Iceland – Finland 0-1 was the first female football match. However, the festival of opening the final tournament took place before Switzerland – Norway 1-2, the second duel of the day, in which the host country was involved.

The match that opened the female euro was that between Iceland and Finland. It ended with a score of 0-1

Iceland ended the match with a player minus, after Antonsdottir saw two yellow cards just 6 minutes away. The only goal of the match was scored by Katariina Kosola, in the 70th minute.

The result was a surprising one, Finland being among the weakest teams from this euro.

Switzerland – Norway 1-2

The second match of the first evening was between Switzerland and Norway, score 1-2. It started in force, with an exceptional atmosphere in the stands. St. Jakob-Park in Basel, which has a capacity of 38,000 seats, was close to it. The match was arbitrated by the Romanian Alina Peșu.

The first goal of the match was scored in the 28th minute by Nadine Riesen. Immediately after the break, the Norway's team managed.

Ada Hegerberg took the score to 1-1 in the 54th minute, and in the 58th minute Julia Stierli scored a goal in her own gate and took Norway to the advantage.

There was a crazy time in the match for Arbitra Alina Peșu. He first gave a penalty for Norway. Ada Hegerberg shot near the gate, from 11 meters. A minute later, Peșu dictated a penalty at the other gate, for a holding in the box.

However, the phase was returned from the Var room, where Cătălin Popa was flat. It was offended in the construction of the phase and the penalty received by Switzerland was canceled.
