Calin Georgescu, a former candidate for the presidential elections of November last year, canceled by the RCC, published a message on Monday night in which he accused that the volume signed by him and entitled “Cumpăna Romania” was illegally republished by a publishing house, pointing out that it is “an editorial fraud and a serious violation of the author”.

“The book” Cumpăna Romania “was published illegally without my consent, by Rolcris Impex SRL. It is printed and sold without a contract, without signature, with unauthorized changes of content and with false data on the copyright,” says the former candidate, in posting on his Facebook page.

“It is an editorial fraud and a serious violation of copyright. According to Law 8/1996, such facts constitute criminal offenses and will be sanctioned accordingly,” he warns.

“Buying this falsified edition means supporting a crime”, draws the attention of Călin Georgescu.

“I make a public appeal: do not buy this book in the edition of Rolcris; do not promote and distribute this counterfeit version; buying this falsified edition means supporting an offense,” writes in the message published by the former candidate.

He also asks for online bookstores, distributors and platforms to withdraw “this unauthorized edition” immediately and says that “any continuous distribution can attract civil and criminal liability”.

Calin Georgescu states that he has started “legal actions for the withdrawal of this forged edition on the market, repairing the damage and drawing criminal liability of those involved”.

“Intellectual work deserves respect. Fraud should not be tolerated or rewarded,” he concluded.

Calin Georgescu is under judicial control since February 26, having several prohibitions, including the country without the approval of the judicial authorities, and is not allowed to post on the social networks with a legionary, fascist, anti -Semitic or xenophobic character. He is being prosecuted for committing six crimes, the most serious being that of notifying actions against the constitutional order, in tempted form, being accused of having set up a plan to destabilize Romania with the help of the mercenaries led by Horațiu Potra, after the Constitutional Court (CCR) annulled the results of November 24.

At the end of last week, Călin Georgescu was presented at the General Prosecutor's Office, where the prosecutors changed his employment to the defendant for Legionary Propaganda after quoting from the former legionary leader Corneliu Zelea Codreanu, according to judicial sources quoted by Agerpres. The quoted sources mentioned that the former candidate for the presidential elections did not want to make statements in front of the investigators.

On May 27, Georgescu was called to the Prosecutor's Office, where the prosecutors announced that the criminal prosecution was extended, after the former candidate for the presidential elections reproduced to a television station a quote from the former legionary leader Zelea Codreanu. The quote comes from the book “For legionaries”, written by Corneliu Zelea Codreanu in 1935, in Eforie and which the Legionary called “The story of my youth, from 19 to 34”.

This year, on March 9, the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) invalidated the candidacy of Călin Georgescu to the presidential, being invoked the decision made in December 2024, by which the elections in the first round were annulled.
