According to Reuters, Ahmad al-Sharaa demanded that Russia give out to the new authorities the fled President Bashar al-Assad.
The Sina Syrian agency today reported that Damascus demanded from Russia “compensation, reconstruction and restoration”, as well as “take into account past mistakes and respect the will of the Syrian people”.
At the same time, the officially new authorities of Syria have not yet been informed of the requirement to return Assad.
In Syria, there are two Russian bases-Khmeimim air base and the naval base in Tartus.
