The head of the Ukrainian state will perform at the summit after lunch in the online format, the correspondent of the public broadcaster at the event points out. His performance, according to a senior EU official, was transferred for logistics reasons – Zelensky had to return to Ukraine from the NATO summit in the Hague (Netherlands) and signing an agreement on the creation of a special tribunal for the crime of Russia's crime against Ukraine in Strasbourg.
A working session dedicated to Ukraine and a video conference with the President of Ukraine will be held in the afternoon.
The project of the Committee of the European Council, which is planned to be adopted by the results of the meeting, speaks of the EU’s readiness to strengthen sanctions against the Russian Federation, calls for the cessation of fire and the allocation of the previously promised €30.6 billion.
