The National Audiovisual Council adopted, on Wednesday night, after a ten -hour marathon debate, a decision to amend and supplement the Code of Regulatory of the Audiovisual content.

“It was a very difficult code, a very long job, I listened to everyone and I think the most important thing is to mention that it is a much closer to reality, brave and which brings not only clarifications related to broadcasters, but also comes to protect the public,” said Vice -President of the Council.

The provisions of the new code also apply to media services on request, including those regarding the protection of minors.

  • “Among the important provisions of the decision are those related to the prohibition in the advertising spots at the gambling of public personalities in various fields (sport, science, or people with notoriety in the online environment), as well as the prohibition by pharmacies based on promotions to supplements, devices or various medical treatments.
  • As for dietary supplements and devices, they have the same advertising prohibitions as prescription drugs. At the same time, all the messages of public interest that preceded the advertising calves were changed, ”the former president of CNA Monica Gubernat told AGERPRES.

According to the Council, the document will be sent to the Official Gazette at the beginning of next week, after publishing the decision to be posted on the CNA website.
