Students have learned the results at BAC 2025. Now, they can make appeals. Change to previous years

The results at the BAC 2025 were published on Friday, June 20, on the website baccalaureat.edu.ro. Students can now see the grades obtained and, for the first time, view the corrected works before submitting appeals. The new procedure, introduced by the Ministry of Education, brings an important change than the previous years and aims at more transparency in the evaluation of the written works.

The results at the BAC 2025 were displayed on Friday, June 20, on the official website baccalaureat.edu.ro. According to the data registered in the exam application, the cumulative promotion rate (all promotions) before appeals is 74.3%, compared to 76.4% – in the first session of last year. Thus, they promoted, in total, 77,805 candidates (73,859 candidates from the current promotion, respectively 3,946 from previous promotions) of the number of 104,675 candidates present, the Ministry of Education states.

The appeals can be submitted/transmitted today, between 14:00 and 18:00, respectively on June 23 and 24.

Students can consult the grades obtained in written tests.

An important change this year is that, for the first time, candidates can view the corrected works before deciding if they file an appeal.

This novelty is introduced by the Ministry of Education and regulated by the procedure no. 27728/20.05.2025. The measure comes after years of dissatisfaction with correction and lack of transparency in the evaluation process.

What is different at BAC 2025: View work before appeal

So far, the students could only see the work after displaying the final notes. In 2025, between the display of the initial results and the submission of the appeals, an official stage of visualization of the work is introduced.

Candidates can submit applications for viewing on Friday, June 20, between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm, at the exam center or by e-mail. The official addresses are displayed at high school notices and inspectorate sites.

Subsequently, students will be scheduled to see their work between June 21 and 24, between 9: 00–17: 00. A quick viewing session takes place even on Friday, June 20, between 5:00 pm and 18:00, followed by the possibility to file appeals immediately after.

How does the work view takes place

The work will be displayed on a screen, in a room set by the exam commission. Students can be accompanied by parents, but only the candidate can confirm if the work belongs to them.

The use of phones or any registration device is forbidden. No teacher is allowed to provide explanations or comment on the work.

After visualization, the student signs a statement confirming that he saw the work. If he notices a problem – another work, missing pages or scanning – the commission must intervene. The work can be recharged and, in justified cases, re -evaluated.

What follows after viewing

If the student considers that the note is unfair, it can file an appeal immediately after visualization.

The appeal can be filed physically or by e-mail, using a typical form, available on the Ministry of Education website or at the exam center. Candidates must also sign a statement by which they accept that the final note can be higher or lower.

Why does this change matter

The new stage of visualization of the works at BAC 2025 is seen as an important step towards transparency and fairness. In the past years, the number of appeals increased, which showed the lack of confidence in the correction process. Now, students can decide informed if it is worth challenging the note.
