After the result obtained in Gruia, Rapid was eliminated from the Romanian Cup, and Costel Gâlcă spoke at the end. In his speech, he said that Timotej Jambor, a player who was not in the squad for the match in Gruia, has already left the team. “We will see what will happen, if we bring more players. The important thing is that those who came get into their rhythm as quickly as possible and integrate as quickly as possible and bring something extra. Jambor knows that he has left,” Costel Câlcă said, according to digisport.ro.
According to the latest information, Jambor would go on loan to Slask Wroclaw, the 8th-place team in Poland's second league. Slask has 31 points accumulated at the moment and is at a relatively small distance from the places that bring the promotion: 15 from the first place, and 3 from the 2nd place.
Timotej Jambor was a transfer that has not yet been confirmed at Rapid. He was brought in the summer of 2024 from MSK Zilina, and Giulești paid one million euros for his transfer. In the winter of last year, he was loaned to Zilina to get more minutes for 6 months. He returned from the summer, but even under the command of Costel Gâlcă, he did not give the expected performance.
Jambor trained at the MSK Zilina academy and is a Slovakian junior international with 15 appearances and 4 goals for the U21 national team.
At Rapid he has 869 minutes played in 26 matches since his arrival in 2024, two goals and one assist. It is quoted by specialized websites at 400,000 euros.
