The head of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia appreciated the passage of the fire hazardous season in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

On June 17, the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies Alexander Kurenkov arrived in Krasnoyarsk on a working visit. Together with Governor Mikhail Kotyukov, they held the headquarters on the forest fireworm in our region and discussed the further development of fire and rescue infrastructure.

At the meeting, the head of the region spoke about measures that are taken to protect the territory. For prompt response to the arising threats to areas, where the complication of the situation was predicted, in advance redeveloped the necessary reserves.

According to the governor, early spring influenced the passage of the season – the first forest fire in the region was recorded two weeks earlier than last year. As before, most forest fires in the region occur through the fault of people. According to these facts, 221 administrative cases were instituted, 17 materials were sent to the inquiry bodies to bring the perpetrators to criminal liability.

“Thanks to the high -quality monitoring system and the coordinated work of forest fire units, almost 90 % of fires can be extinguished promptly on the first day. Most importantly, it was possible to prevent the transfer of fire to settlements and objects of the economy. The situation is under control – Today, all forest fires in the region are eliminated. Nevertheless, I think that this is not a reason to relax. Judging by the forecast, at least until September there is a tense staff work. We agreed on the support of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia in the event of a complication of the situation, ”said Mikhail Kotyukov.

The head of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia noted that the risks of new foci of fires in the Krasnoyarsk Territory are not only preserved, but in the conditions of a sharply continental climate of Siberia in the summer, they will increase. “In this regard, it is important to properly organize work on the speedy identification of such foci of fires and their operational liquidation on the day of detection. For these purposes, it is necessary to actively use all the available means of monitoring the forestry environment, ”said Alexander Kurenkov. In addition, he instructed to pay special attention to the implementation of measures to protect settlements and objects of economics from fire transitions.
