This is the first interview of Palamara after Russian captivity.
During an interview, the founder of the online publication “Gordon” Dmitry Gordon Palamar said about:
- their family and parents;
- battles for Mariupol of the Donetsk region and defense “Azovstal”;
- conditions of stay in captivity, exchange and stay in Turkey;
- meeting with the kum of the illegitimate President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin Viktor Medvedchuk, for whom the commanders of the Mariupol garrison were exchanged;
- commander of the 1st Army Corps Denis Prokopenko (Radis);
- Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov;
- relationship within “Azov” and recruiting;
- the work of territorial centers of completion and social support;
- A possible compromise with Russia and whether Ukraine has a chance to win.
“We do not have an option not to fight. This should be aware of everything. Probably, during this conversation, people in Kharkov understand this more than people in Transcarpathia. I am without reference to the region, but I understand that in Transcarpathia there are calmer and people do not feel the war like front -line territories there. And it is very important to understand that if Kharkov, Dnieper, Zaporozhye, Lions falls. [падет и] Uzhgorod. We have no choice not to fight. We must protect the country. Because if the Russians come, they will pick up everything, and you will be anyone. Russians do not want to seize some territory, they want to destroy the whole of Ukraine. Palamar was born in 1982 in the Lviv region. He graduated from the Lviv Trade and Economic University and Kharkov National University of Internal Affairs. Member of the Orange Revolution and Revolution of Dignity.
Since 2014, he has been participating in the war against the Russian Federation. Member of the defense of Mariupol, Donetsk region in 2022. From May to September 2022 he was in Russian captivity. He was awarded the title “Hero of Ukraine”.
