After the Judicial Inspection and the SCM, the General Prosecutor's Office controls the prosecutor with the most disciplinary actions

The Attorney General of Romania, Alex Florence, ordered a control at the Bucharest Military Prosecutor's Office, regarding the activity of the first prosecutor Bogdan Pîrlog. Florence signed the order as soon as the SCM announced the sanction of Pârlog because he had not respected an order of his superior. The day after the control order was signed, the Bucharest Military Prosecutor's Office was taken one of the “sensitive” files, the one in which the commander of the military base Mihail Kogălniceanu is investigated.

The “objectives” of the control ordered by the Attorney General

In the order signed by the Attorney General Alex Florenta, a document obtained by Hotnews, he has “carrying out a thematic control at the Military Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bucharest Military Court having the following objectives:

• How to exercise the duties by the managers by the first military prosecutor Pîrlog Bogdan Ciprian.
• The way of respecting the legal provisions regarding the activity of own criminal prosecution in the files in the instrumentation of the first military prosecutor Bogdan Ciprian between 01.01.2014-10.06.2025 and the use of the Institution of Delegation.
• The way of respecting the legal provisions regarding the activity of own criminal prosecution in the files in the instrumentation of the first military prosecutor Ciprian between 01.012024-10.06.2025 ”.

At the first point, it is specified that the control team must verify “the efficiency of organizing the activity within the parquet unit, in the light of the way of distributing the criminal prosecution files to the subordinate prosecutors, the registration and distribution of the other types of works, of the way of distributing the prosecutors, the mode of the activity implementation and completion of data in the applications developed at the level of the Public Ministry and of any other elements considered relevant by the control teams ”.

In the control order, Florence invokes the sanction applied to the prosecutor by the CSM prosecutor section, although this is not a definitive one, and verbal information transmitted hierarchically.

The Prosecutor General of Romania signed the control order just on the day when the Pîrlog was sanctioned by the SCM because he did not comply with an order of the General Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Military Court. A sanction that Bogdan Pârlog announced on the same day that he will challenge.

The control team is made up of the first deputy prosecutor General, Ionuț Spiridon, and one of the prosecutors of the General Prosecutor's Office and Control Service, Corina Țîrlea. The two will only check the activity of the first prosecutor Bogdan Pîrlog.
