George Russell (27 years old, Mercedes) will leave Pole-Position in the Grand Formula 1 in Canada (Sunday, 9:00 pm), followed by Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) and Oscar Piastri (McLaren).

The first sequence of qualifications produced some surprises: Pierre Gasly (Alpine) and Carlos Sainz (Williams) were among the eliminates. Sainz relied on the last fast tour, but was obstructed by Isack Hadjar and was wasted precious time. It was a blow to Williams, especially since the Spaniard had been among the 10 fastest pilots in all training sessions!

Q2 left a Red Bull from the outside: Yuki Tsunoda was lowered on 11 Hadjar, who caught the top 10 with his last fast tour! George Russell was the fastest here in the second sequence of qualificationsfollowed by Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc.

In Q3, the end made all the money. Oscar Piastri achieved a faster tour than versatappen's and provisionally climbed to the first place, but the Dutch regained his first position for only a few seconds later.

However, the en-tite champion did not stay in the pole-Position, because George Russell came from the Dutch!

It is the first pole-place for Russell in 2025 and the second consecutive in Canada, where he left the first grid last year.

In the chapter “disappointments” we record the performance of Lando Norris: the McLaren pilot was wrong in Q3 and will leave the seventh Sunday evening.
