A plane operated by Air India with 242 people on board, with the destination of London, collapsed on Thursday, a few minutes after taking off at the airport in the Indian city of Ahmedabad. Video images with the moment of collapse of the plane were published on the X network and taken by Times of India.

The video recording shows how the Boeing 787 Dreamliner plane, flying on the Ahmedabad-London Gatwik route, flies over a residential area on the outskirts of Meghani, and at a time loses altitude and falls. A strong explosion then bursts from the collapse.

From the place of collapse, then a thick black smoke column rises.

On board the aircraft were 242 people: 230 passengers, 2 pilots and 10 crew members, confirmed the General Directorate of Civil Aviation.
