The Prime Minister of Slovakia announces a blockade of sanctions against Russia. Sets the CE condition

Slovakia has not yet blocked any of the 17 EU sanctions against Russia. Prime Minister Fico announced, however, that for his country there is an unacceptable Brussels initiative, aimed at completely stopping the import of Russian fossil fuels to the EU.
Fico also raised the issue of nuclear fuel from Russia, which is used in Slovak atomic gyms. “If the sanctions are unfavorable for us, I will never vote for their acceptance. I want to be a constructive player in the European Union, but not at the expense of the Slovak Republic,” Fico told journalists on Sunday, reacting to the parliament resolution adopted three days earlier, according to which the members of the office should not support any new restrictions against Moscow.
New EU sanctions against Russia. Unanimous consent needed
On Tuesday, the EC presented a project of the 18th package of sanctions against Russia. It is to hit Moscow's income from the energy and arms industry. The new package proposes to reduce the price ceiling to Russian oil and a ban on trading with companies serving Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines, and with banks that participate in celebrating sanctions. The unanimous consent of all Member States is required to accept the package.
